vault upgrade

Upgrade the Vault CLI to the latest version.

Other commands check for a newer version once a day and print a notice to stderr when one is available. To turn off this check, set the environment variable VAULT_CLI_NO_UPDATE_CHECK=1.

Usage

vault upgrade [--check] [-y]

Options

Option	Type	Required	Description
`--check`	flag	Optional	Print the current and latest versions and whether an upgrade is available, without installing anything. Always exits `0` unless the check itself fails
`-y, --yes`	flag	Optional	Skip the confirmation prompt and upgrade immediately. Reinstalls the latest version even if it is already installed. Required in non-interactive or CI environments

This command also accepts the global options.

Examples

Check for a newer version without installing

vault upgrade --check

Upgrade immediately (non-interactive)

vault upgrade --yes
