# Plugin Versioning

Claude Plugin versions use the format `YY.WW.X`, where `YY.WW` is the year and week of the plugin release. All plugins in a build carry the same version string. Claude Code updates a plugin when the version string changes, which every release does.

A plugin version does not say which Vault release a feature requires. If a skill depends on a Vault feature, it names the minimum in its own text.

## Update plugins

Update the Claude plugin marketplace index first, then update each plugin:

claude plugin marketplace update veeva-claude-plugins
claude plugin update vault@veeva-claude-plugins
claude plugin update vault-administrator@veeva-claude-plugins
claude plugin update vault-developer@veeva-claude-plugins
```

To turn on automatic updates, open `/plugin` in Claude Code and enable auto-update for `veeva-claude-plugins`.
