List the vaults reachable by the current user.

## vault list

Lists the vaults reachable by the current user. To change which user is current, use [`vault user switch`](/vault-dx/dx-reference/command-reference/user/).

If no user is current, the command exits with: `not logged in; run 'vault login' first`. If the current user has no stored session token, it exits with: `not authenticated as '<username>'; run 'vault login' first`.

### Usage

```sh
vault list [--format <FORMAT>]
```

### Options

| Option | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `--format <FORMAT>` | `table` | `json` | Optional | Output format. Default: `table` |

### Examples

#### List reachable vaults

```sh
vault list
```

#### JSON output

```sh
vault list --format json
```
